1017: The definition of base class UIComponent was not found.
Trying to extends the UIComponent for a new component in action script 3, I’ve got this error. To fix this, I added a new classpath in the ActionScript 3.0 Settings from the Preferences panel. So if you get this error try to add this path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Component Source\ActionScript 3.0\User Interface
iTunes rUUULzz !
Many people use tools provided by Apple and we have to admit that apple designs rocks. Of course many animations and concepts can be implemented in flash. This days I observed that are two flash components available on the web which provide functionality for photo gallery like the album cover flow in iTunes. I think both are nice and in my opinion this two components rocks. I am in trouble that i am not sure which of them i will buy :)).
Flow List V. 1.0 from AFC (Advance Flash Components) is one of them … (i think this one is closer of the truth :) ) . Words are nothing so i will let you to see it on afcomponents.com.
photoFlow from Flashloaded the other one. I love motion of this one :)
The choice is yours … I think in the next future we will assist to an invasion of apple trends over flash world :) …i can’t wait :) .
Apollo MySQL support !
Do you want to use some Database with Apollo application?
Apollo haven’t built in native support for connecting directly to databases like MySQL but i search on the web and i found a library which is very useful. Matt MacLean wrote an AS3 libraries to connect directly to the database.
I you want to use remote databases you can use classical methods which calls some serve side scripts which interrogates databases, but if you want to use local databases this libraries are very very useful.
