A new Jumpeye store for flash components is available now … jumpeyeComponents.com In the same time jumpeye lunched a new set of components called V3 Components. This components are AS2 compatible but we are working on AS3 version in this moment.

I am proud to work for jumpeye with this great team.

1017: The definition of base class UIComponent was not found.

Posted in AS3 by benji on the June 4th, 2007

Trying to extends the UIComponent for a new component in action script 3, I’ve got this error. To fix this, I added a new classpath in the ActionScript 3.0 Settings from the Preferences panel. So if you get this error try to add this path: C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Flash CS3\en\Configuration\Component Source\ActionScript 3.0\User Interface

iTunes rUUULzz !

Posted in Flash components, flash by demiurgu on the May 25th, 2007

Many people use tools provided by Apple  and we have to admit that apple designs rocks. Of course many animations and concepts can be implemented in flash. This days  I observed that are two flash components available on the web which provide functionality for photo gallery like the album cover flow in iTunes. I think both are nice and in my opinion this two components rocks.  I am in trouble that i am not sure which of them i will buy :)).

Flow List V. 1.0  from AFC (Advance Flash Components)  is one of them … (i think this one is closer of the truth :) ) . Words are nothing so i will let you to see it on afcomponents.com.

photoFlow from Flashloaded the other one.  I love motion of  this one :)

The choice is yours … I think in the next future we will assist to an invasion of apple trends over flash world :) …i can’t wait :) .

Apollo MySQL support !

Posted in Apollo by demiurgu on the May 23rd, 2007

Do you want to use some Database with Apollo application?

Apollo haven’t built in native support for connecting directly to databases like MySQL but i search on the web and i found a library which is very useful. Matt MacLean wrote an AS3 libraries to connect directly to the database.

I you want to use remote databases you can use classical methods which calls some serve side scripts which interrogates databases, but if you want to use local databases this libraries are very very useful.
